Rex: Redskins will win the NFC East

Another day, another prediction from Rex.
However, this time the Jets bombastic coach was not the one making title proclamations. In a recent interview Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman declared his team as the sleeper in the loaded NFC EAST, putting his divisional foes on notice.
"Nobody's talking about us,” remarked Grossman. “That's right where we want to be. You look at us from top to bottom out here, there's a bunch of great players. And we don't need people saying we're the best right now, but when it's all said and done, I really feel like this team's gonna win the East."
Grossman is expected to be the opening day starter when the Redskins play host to the New York Giants Sunday, September 11th at 4:15PM although he is still in competition with fellow signal caller John Beck. The Redskins have reshaped their roster dumping Albert Hanesworth, C
Although a far cry from the division favorite, the Redskins are hoping that the infusion of new blood on their roster will revive a much beleaguered franchise that has failed to capture a division title since the NFL’s realignment in 2002. Media, fans and players across the league are making a mockery of the quarterback's recent comments, but his confident remarks may serve to wake up a club that slept walk through the 2010 season.
